Oxford Economics, a leading global economic research and consultancy firm is looking to hire a Commercial Associate, to support the rapid growth in its Tourism Economics (TE) business.

This position will be an integral part of Oxford’s growth plans and is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing company at the forefront of the industry. The key responsibilities within this role are as follows:


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the growth in subscription revenues across the Tourism Economics business.
  • Lead research & qualification of new business leads for purposes of outreach.
  • Set up new business meetings for the regional Commercial Managers & meet set KPIs
  • To become proficient at providing demonstrations of TE services.
  • Identify market changes and adjust sales approach accordingly.
  • Become a product champion - develop a strong knowledge of TE subscription services and their application.
  • Liaise and support Commercial Managers on their marketing strategy, requirements, and campaigns.
  • Generate and manage prospecting lists from internal and external events, research, and referrals.

Business Reporting & Analysis

  • Track and communicate opportunities, challenges, and feedback.
  • Use Salesforce for all sales activity.
  • Monthly reporting – performance of sales and regional updates.
  • Gather and report on internal and external product feedback, suggestions, and product development ideas.

Skills and Experience: Required

  • A proven, demonstratable sales track record, with at least 2 years of experience in a B2B environment selling subscription or information based services.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Must be highly organized and able to manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong presentation and writing skills, confident on the phone with prospects/clients.
  • Experience with Salesforce & Excel
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with different teams.

Skills and Experience: Desired

  • Economics or international affairs or marketing degree preferred.
  • Phone sales experience along with face-to-face selling.
  • Experience selling in research and data services.
  • Existing network of contacts
  • Experience with SalesNavigator
  • Experience with Sales Loft
  • Additional speaking language
