Job Requirements/Description

Travel. It's one of life's simple pleasures. But, ooof, planning it can feel like hard work. For the last 20 years we've been on a mission to empower every traveller with innovative tools, insights and experiences that help people get to where they're going, so they can spend more time out exploring the world, and less time anxiously bouncing around 25 browser tabs and endless spreadsheets. Our traveller-first approach drives everything we do and it's never been more important than it is today.

When we launched as a flight comparison site back in 2003, we changed the game by helping travellers feel smart, like they were in on a secret, that promise hasn't changed. And today, while we're a world leader in travel, with millions of people using our products every single day we know there's so much more we can be doing.

Being part of Skyscanner means joining a team hell bent on building the world's most innovative, and helpful travel experiences possible. We're hugely ambitious and believe we have the chance to genuinely challenge and disrupt the industry.

Why join Brand Studio?

There’s never been a better time to join us. This is your chance as a Principal Copywriter to help shape Skyscanner’s voice without getting bogged down by layers of bureaucracy. You’ll be in the thick of it—writing, ideating, and crafting world-class campaigns, content, and experiences, all guided by your mighty pen.

We believe in ‘Acts, not ads,’ building a billion-dollar brand that leans into culture and embraces the unexpected. No boring, beige, or interruptive advertising here. We’re focused on building an iconic brand that fellow travellers are genuinely grateful exists.

And to do that, we seek travellers at heart—those who live for the thrill of new places, cultures, and experiences. After all, we're a travel company. We wouldn’t staff our team with people who haven’t felt the rush of take-off or the joy of getting lost in a new city. Just like a chef wouldn’t hire someone who doesn’t love food, we can’t create the best content, experiences, and stories if we become a company that only looks at the world through screens and spreadsheets.

That’s why we make sure our people get out there. We’re serious about travel, so we’ve built a culture that respects a work life balance with loads of great perks to help get you out into the real world. Whether you’re recharging your batteries or just taking a moment to get lost in nature, we believe the journey is just as important as the destination.

What you'll do day to day?

  • Be the lead writer for our brand and fellow travellers understanding the nuances of our particular tone of voice. You will be our in-house Oatly guru of sorts. No pressure ;)
  • Lead, sharpen and execute our brand TOV at scale globally.

  • Deliver standout creative solutions across top global markets with a player/coach mindset while mentoring and developing our internal team of writers.
  • Help build our culture while avoiding and eliminating drama; we believe the journey should be as memorable as the destination.

  • Exceptional writing and conceptual skills across all mediums from headlines to full 360 campaigns, films and more that bringing our brand TOV to life.
